You don’t have to be
superhuman to be a hero.
You don’t even need to quit your day job. All you need is a couple hours and desire to share your passion with someone else.
Help Us Help Others
We’re kicking off the Girls in Tech Minneapolis Mentorship Program with our first Speed Mentoring event Saturday March, 8. And, we hope you can help!
What is “Speed Mentoring,” you ask? Simple – it’s like speed networking with a twist: instead of meeting professional peers face to face in quick fashion, you’ll rotate between a series of small groups of students, introducing yourself and answering quick questions about career, life and growing up in tech in general!
Where is it? We’re holding this event at Livefront’s Smart Factory in Minneapolis.
When is it? Saturday, March 8, 2014 from 11am to 1pm.
Who’s Invited? Girls in grades 8 – 12 are encouraged to attend as mentees. Women in STEM & entrepreneurial positions may volunteer as mentors. Space is limited, so sign up soon!
How do I sign up? If you are the parent/guardian of a girl interested in attending as a mentee, you can sign her up as a participant here. If you’d like to volunteer as a mentor for this event, email firstname.lastname@example.org directly.
